There are a surprising number of good movies that are coming out that I am looking forward to. Y'all got a preview with my lastest WW but something tells me the ladies will not mind if I repeat myself ;)
Death At A Funeral - I am a SUCKER for the British comedy. I love them. I am a self admitted Anglophile. The only thing this one looks like it is missing is Hugh Grant. I love Hugh Grant...

Control - This is a niche movie and probably will have most of you scratching your heads, but Kidlet and I are so looking forward to this. Ian Curtis was the lead singer of the band Joy Division in the late 70's until he commited suicide in May of 1980. Joy Division is best known for the song Love Will Tear Us Apart and for the re-emergence of the remaining band members as New Order. Joy Division are arguably the font of what is called modern Goth music with actually being Goth themselves. Ian wrote the script that Kurt would later follow.
Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten - What is there to say about Citizen Strummer. The Clash have been called "The Only Band That Matters" and Joe Strummer was the heart and soul of the band. A monumentally talented and intelligent man, Joe was a true iconoclast. For Clash fans I can not strongly recommend enough Joe's later work with The Mescaleros. This movie is by Julien Temple who has a feel and a love for the Punk Genre as witnessed by the Great Rock and Roll Swindle and The Filth and The Fury. The list of people talking about the life and the influence is a huge range from John Cusack to Bono to Johnny Depp.
Becoming Jane- Why not? I mean it is pretty clear that Jane Austin is proven cinematic gold so it was only a matter of time before we had a movie about Janie Poo. It is loosely based on a romance from her youth. It should be interesting as Jane never married and died at 41.
Rob Zombie's Halloween - OH HELL'S YES! This has me SO excited. Rob Zombie could do just to this series. Rather than just reworking the original 70's classic, Rob has expanded the back story of Michael Myers and let me tell you the kid who plays him scares the shit out of me already.
Charlie Bartlett- This lookys quirky. I love quirky. I live quirky. I...nevermind. In addition to the quirk factor this movie has Robert Downey Jr. I am a child of the 80's, people. I love me some Robert Downey. I could give a flying fuck about his personal drama's, this guy can act. On that note, if you have not seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang you need to get the hell off of my blog and go rent that now. NOW. Do it. Don't make me hurt you.
The Golden Age- OH JOY Elizabeth part 2!! Cate Blanchett just IS Elizabeth. So excited for this. The Plantagenants and The Tudors are my favorite periods of English history. Well Normans too. No offence but shit went down hill with the Stuarts and The Hanovers. Bleh :P
Darjeeling Limited- See what I said above about quirky. Wes Anderson (Rushmore, Life Aquatic) is the Crown Prince of Quirk. Tim Burton is still King ;)
Superbad- Yes this is a gross out humor movie. Sue me, I like slasher flicks, gross out potty humor, and cheesey martial arts movies. Give me shit and I will be forced to roll out the entire list of ruling kings and queens of England from memory :P
The Last Legion - More historical stuffies! We have a long way to go to make up from Troy and Alexander. Oh and Colin Firth. Oh yes.
Sweeney Todd- Oh look. It's Johnny Depp again. Seriously I am so excited about this. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp bringing us the murderous barber from Fleet Street. I can not wait!
The Nanny Diaries- This was a great book. Totally guilty pleasure mind candy. I love Scarlett Jo so I am hoping this is a good as Prada was.
War Jet Li and Jason Stratham? Hell yes! Martial arts and testoterone overdoes are fun.

I have not seen any of those :(
Happy TT!
You've got a nice blog :)
I loved the Nanny Diaries. I think I finished it in 2 days!
I fell in love with Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros when I heard one of their tracks on one of those Starbucks collections (I'm from the Seventies; I have to do what I can to keep up). I love them.
I agree that Blanchett is the one true Elizabeth---really looking forward to it and to "Death of a Funeral." My husband is British so I've had a lot of exposure to Britcom and I have to say...I completely agree with you; it's a genre apart.
Interesting collection...Halloween was my fav horror movie...and I did like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang too
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of my fave movies - so I´m more than excited to watch Charlie Bartlett.
Happy TT!
I haven't heard of half of those, but some look very interesting. I'll definitely be seeing Death at a Funeral.
Oh, they all look good.. especially Sweeney Todd... Mr. Depp is a God!
I was with ya until Rob Zombie, then got back on the train again at Sweeney Todd. Just saw the commerical for War today, im thinking to myself, no way this can be bad. I still have to see Elizabeth I
Also looking forward to Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd.

Thank God for Netflix, although the Joe Strummer and Joy Division flicks will be theater-worthy. I hope. Grr...
There's a couple on the list that might be interesting for me.
But first I must find some time to take my lady to see Jason Bourne. Must complete the trilogy.
I'm looking forward to many of those films, too. And yes, that kid from Halloween is creepy as all get out!
My, you are QUITE the quirk, aren't you? Eclectic tastes indeed.
Schizo, I know :P
