The genius of the RED campaign is that it got companies to rethink their own marketing schemes. They started realizing how little they would affect their bottom line while actually increasing their revenue. They could affect great change socially, and in the process gain more goodwill amongst consumers. Consumers, on the other hand, could continue their materialistic ways while feeling good about contributing to a cause.

Thanks RWA. It is actually a hard thing for me to talk about and I still can not manage to do it without tears. I find it so frustrating to deal with people as we tend to have SO much and do so little. Except judge.

That is an incredibly touching group of stories you shared of your involvement with folks - of all ages and backgrounds - who suffered from this horrible disease.
