So...what's that?!? A Gamer Store? What the heck?!?!

That is probably what you are asking yourselves. That my, friends, is The Building Formerly Known As Diana's Record Store in Eugene Oregon. Right there..in that building I heard U2 for the first time. Waaaaay back in 82. Walk Away Walk Away...I did follow.

Ah happy memories, I hope. It's so sad to see independent music stores and venues go by the way. A lot of my favourite venues and music stores in London are now long gone.

Happy WW

And it got bought up by a national chain - that's sad to see.

What's on your music wish list?

Thanks for stopping by my site.

Oh my Amazon shopping cart has something like...300 items in it!

I am dying for the Rhino Box set Brit Box...BritPop is a favorite of mine. And I was the best of Adam Ant, Mezzanine from Massive Attack, the new Duran Duran album, and more and more and more!

So much for the little guys.

"I Will Follow," huh?

I am convinced that "Boy" and "War" are still perhaps their best two albums. Their music is great even today, but it was a bit more "raw" back then.

Score for RWA on the song connection! And yeah I tend to think of them as having trilogy's. Boy, October and War are one period. Unforgettable Fire, Joshua and Rattle and Hum are another. Then Achtung Baby, Zooropa and Pop.

I love them all but those first three albums are totally different than anything that followed and I am attached to them. It blows my mind that it was 25 years ago.

LOL Bond =)

U2 has been my favorite band going all the way back to 12 years old. I can still remember what Diana's smelled like. Strawberry insense!
