Thursday Thirteen - The NSFW Sing-A-Long Playlist!

So I pretty much live with my iPod on while at work. I have two clerks on the other side of my cube wall that snipe at each other constantly and I like to shut them out. And the co-worker with the horrid laugh. I am also kinda stuck in the back of the office. My cube is carved out of space in our filing section. Works well since all my paper materials are back there. But it's very isolated. And I have my phone constantly on send to voice mail. So I tend to spend a good 8 hours with my music.

Now I have some wide and varied songs on my iPod. And all that "alone space" tends to make me forget where I am. I get in the zone with my numbers ya know? And I tend to sort of sing along under my breath so to speak. No biggie, right? Remember that varied iPod list? Some of those songs ...not a good plan. So this Thursday I give you 13 songs NOT to sing out loud at work.

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

1. Jay's Rap - Noitch Noitch Noitch indeed. Best not be singing this outloud or you will be fired and/or sent to rehab! God Bless Kevin Smith. The man and his movies kick ass.

2. Buckycherry - Crazy Bitch. Oh yeah this is SO not office friendly. An enthusiastic ode to a crazy bitch with certain talents that mitigate said craziness.

3. Blink 182 - Blow Job. The thing about this song is it is a total earworm. The harmonies are so great and so infectious you can't help but want to sing along. Oh and...your mom.

4. Ludcacris - Get Back. What does it say that this song ends up in my head during meetings? Don't judge, you don't know me like that!

5. Megadeath - Sweating Bullets. Ok this one should be clear from the first few lines. If you sing it like Dave Mustaine it will only add to the total padded room effect of the song.

6. Rock Me Sexy Jesus - From the movie Hamlet 2. What can we say about the song that the title does not say on it's own? How bout the line "slam bam spank you ma'am" for starters. Rock me all night long, Jesus!

7. Guns N'Roses - I Used To Love Her. I love this song. Who hasn't wanted to bury their SO in the backyard at one point in time or another?

8. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness. HOLY SHIT does Dave Draiman have some mommy issues!

9. Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl. Title should make this one self explanatory. Not work appropriate. Well unless you work for a morgue. Or taxidermist.

10. Marilyn Manson - This Is The New Shit. It's Manson. Nuff said. "Babble babble bitch bitch." Are you ready for the New Shit?

11. Ol' Dirty Bastard ft Kelis - Got You Money. Only work appropriate if you are a pimp. Is it bad that I want a velvet hat with a feather?

12. Deftones - Change (In The House of Flies) This song is just creepy. Like you should be driving around in a white panel van with bad intentions. Plus the sing songy whipery voice makes you sound super bonkers.

13. Monty Python - Every Sperm Is Sacred. Did I mention I work for the Catholics? Taking the piss out of birth control around the followers of the Hat Man is tricky business!

Scream If You Want It, Cause I Want It More

Well Mister Migraine has been reduced to more of a dull roar at this point. I have those funky darts of pain that say, "Hey I am still here!" so I decided a day on the couch without small child and with the right medication was called for. Of course it is gorgeous out today. The people of Oregon can thank me for that as it will turn to shit again tomorrow when I feel better :p

I do need to go to the store, dammit. I did not have it in me to do that on the way home yesterday. Must get Diet Coke.

In other fun headache inducing drama, my net connection has been fuxored all day. Drops me constantly. C'est la Vie.

Watching Little Children. Good movie but jebus, so NOT perky. Interesting take on the whole vigilante mentality. Kate Winslet is amazing as usual. Easy to see why she was nominated. The only thing I find odd about is that somehow we are supposed to think of her as less than pretty. Which is ridiculous. Sign me up to me "less than pretty" like Kate, mmk?
But after this movie I think it is going to be time for some sort of fluffy film. Or a nap. Who knows. I am mentally dizzy today. My brain needs to shut up :P

I'm Too Sexy For My Shoes

Of course I am not too sexy for my shoes. In my current state I am about as sexy as, oh I don't know, an old terrycloth bathrobe.

BUT! I have shoes. Yes yes, hippy dippy hug a tree shoes, but they help my lower back not feel like I have been kicked by a mule. What with the shoes and the super yummy albacore tuna salad sandwich courtesty of Nordstroms cafe, I feel human. More than human. More human than the human.

Shit. I need to go buy that cd!

Die For Me Living Dead Girl

Ok...Where the hell was Dead Like Me last night? Huh? Dark Angel? All friggin night? Do I look like some sad sack fucker with a bottle of lotion and a Jessica Alba fixation? Not nice mister program director and scifi...not nice at all. And I see tonight that Rock Star is on later due to some schmaltzy special thing. Whoopee.

At least last night I did get the chance to watch the Anthony Bourdain in Beirut episode. That had to suck. Go for a show, get a war on the house! I felt badly for his guide who talked about the new spirit in Lebanon only to have flag waving extremist drive by rejoicing over the kidnapping of those soldiers. You could tell by looking at the guy he knew that things were going to go to shit and soon.

Speaking of Anthony, I picked up his latest book The Nasty Bits this weekend and man o man is it addictive. I think Ye Olde Gordon Ramsay's writings may be next up on the list. I am a firm believer in the theory that the bigger an asshole he seems the better the chef is.

An now..home to a beer and book, kthx!
