No One Has The Guts To Shut Us Out

Another holiday weekend -nearly- finished. Rained here. Of course. I am working Monday and taking Friday off, post Blink 182/Weezer concert.

Kidlet is having one final summer is over sleepover and I am watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. Love this movie. Truly celebrates the power of a great mix tape. Kat Dennings makes my girl crush list. She's just awesome. And yes, Cera always seems to play Cera, but fortunately for all of us, he is adorable.

Went for a nice long drive today and enjoyed it tremendously. Would have been nicer without the downpours but hey. It is what it is.

Or so I keep telling myself.

I may or may not be playing HIV Conference Stewardess next Saturday. Waiting to hear back from the CAP peeps. If I do I will be directing traffic at the Event Center this weekend. I fully intend to perform the Exit Door To The Front, Back and Rear shuffle.

And of course we have The Walk coming up. Kidlet and I are running The Kid's Booth. I need to replace my condom sticker I had on the Corolla. It was a robot holding a condom and it read "Condoms don't promote sex, they prevent mucus membranes from touching fluids. Duh" It was awesome.

Oh and of course Greek Fest. And my personal favorite holiday, Halloween. Planning to take the Kidlet, The Semi Step, and The BFF to Rocky Horror. Or at least that is the plan. Might have to participate in Zombie Walk 2009 as well. So many choices so few days in October.

Couches are under-rated. Cause let me tell you, couches kick ass. Especially when your ass has been kicked by your day. And this freakin cold! Grrr.

Watching Iron Chef America. Secret ingredient is Alaskan King Crab. I am jealous.

I have had a hard core jones for Eggs Benedict lately. Going to have to do something about that asap.

School starts next week. Bah humbug. I am a shitty parent. I like summer vacation. We *both* get to sleep in later.

Stupid head colds suck. I sound like I am at deaths door. I don't feel that bad thank God but I sure don't feel that hot either. Need coffee and sudafed.

Gotta go get the Kidlet today and her friend K and take them to see Halloween 2 tonight. It's getting mixed reviews but hey, I am a slasher movie junkie. Although I think it is time for Mr. Zombie to get his ass back in a recording studio and give me some new music.


Ahh...coffee. Sweet nectar of life that it is. I feel semi-human.
