I hate colds. And I *always* get sick the last week of August/first week of September. Thinking I might have kidlet stay overnight at her grandmothers. I sound a hell of a lot worse than I feel and my coffee still tastes good so there is that. Kidlet is having a friend over tomorrow night and I am taking them to see Halloween 2, so I am trying to get my rest on now. Need to go to the store and get cold medicine!
On the plus side I can finish up my Thursday Thirteen for the week. And maybe the week after as well! Have to do the dreaded school shopping this weekend. And kidlet gets to clean her room. All things considered I'd rather do the room :P
I leave with new music I am diggin.

So Good I Did It Twice!
Sorta :P
Ri from Music Savvy Mom has asked me to post my review on the blog. I have re-worked it and changed up the video. I managed to find footage of the pelvic thrust! I also shared a few of my favorite moments outside of Billie bustin up the fight.
Thanks to all of you for your comments! It made my day being able to share it with y'all =)

UBER HUGE HOLY SHIT BLOG POST
Remember how I said my goal for the Green Day concert with our floor seats was to get hit with the Supersoaker?
I scoff at my former ambitions. I laugh in their meager faces. Cause...
GUESS WHO GOT INTO THE SOUNDCHECK AND GOT FRONT BARRIER SPOTS?!?!?!?!? WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH HELL YES, PEOPLE. We were so close we got Billie Joe Armstrong SWEAT on us.
We even got pelvic thrusts right over our heads! I can not begin to put into words the awesomeness that was yesterday. Kidlet and I are on the official gdconcerts.com website under the "get pix" tab. First show up is the Seattle on. Click on the down arrow and you will see Sacramento all the way at the bottom. The first shots are the arena and then us lucky soundcheck people at the dinner we got after the sound check up to Picture number 35ish. Right above is Kidlet's graffiti she made on the graffiti wall.
Ok I am going to put down my laminated Soundcheck pass and try to coherently tell the story. Keep in mind I have not slept for more than 2 hours or so since Sunday.
We got to Arco around 11 to get our tickets then head out to park the rental at a nearby mall and cab it back. Arco is freakin weird. You can NOT queue up at the entrance with GA tickets. They were making everyone line their cars up at the parking gate. And those didn't open till 5:30! The doors open at 6:30...not too hard to figure out that driving is NOT the plan. So we cabbed it back to the arena and found the Verizon bus. As you know we had inside info on that and were hoping for soundcheck passes. Now keep in mind their are radio contest winners for those and total number of people at soundchecks is max 30ish. So we knew it was a long shot.
Then a Verizon dude came out and started talking to us. He hung with us for a while waiting for a taxi. He gave us more inside info on the passes and told us to hang out by the bus and he'd fascilitate them. Then his taxi came and we continued chillin with our Cheetos.
Que villain music...Enter stage right, officious khaki clad security guard with a massive chip on his shoulder and a small dick in his pants. He literally stood over us and told us it was not the Verizon peoples arena it was "his building" and we had to get out. Seriously shook his finger and loomed over us. TOTAL FUCKING TOOL.
So we had to go down by the car gate entrance. Pretty harsh bumming of our trip. I mean we pretty much had those passes and this dickhead comes along and pissed in our cheerios.
LUCKILY....we knew the man with the golden passes and when he came down to help out some folks already on his list (assholes kicked them out too) Kidlet ran up and asked him if we could get tickets and told him our sad story of Guards Of Doom. Chris...and that's as much info I am giving out on him ;)...deemed us worthy and told us to get 6 more worthy fans and report to the bus at 4. Wanna know why?
Cause CHRIS IS THE MAN!
There were two girls near us who had an idea of what was going down and we deemed them worthy and brought them into the fold.
We Chosen Ones hung out for an hour and a half in a group. Chris's peeps on the list were being picked up by the original a-hole (who was now patrolling the parking lot) because they were afraid other people would follow them up. Like duh, that was our plan. These guards were tag teaming people walking in the parking lot! Calling each other with coordinates and chasing folks off.
Kidlet and I got a text from our insider (who rocks and has our number to hang out with us should they ever make Portland and whose daughter got to get up on stage and sing Longview) and the two of us took off. Mind you this is like a half mile trek up to the gates and the Verizon bus, right?
Que Jaws Music. I see the white security van several rows over. We start walking faster. As he turns down our aisle I tell Kidlet to book it like a mother to Chris and the Bus and I took off the other direction as a diversion. I zigzaged at the van and then over two dividers and then back over them when I lured him off. Which worked cause the asshole was STUPID.
HA. HA.
Long story short, after running our asses off like psycho ninja's, we made it to the Circle of Chris, filled out our paperwork and became official with our laminated soundcheck passes. Here's Kidlet modeling hers.

Now we get to the golden part. We had to swear up and own our phones would stay in our pockets the whole time and we went into the arena and down to the front row seats off to the side of the stage. And there they were. Billie, Mike, Tre, Jason White, Jason Freese, and Jeff Matika were on stage. Billie is, 1. Skinny 2. Hyper as fuck and 3. Sounds exactly the same live as he does on albums. The band played about 7 songs total and chatted up the soundchecks peeps. They actually played Maria which was fucking awesome as I love that song and they ended up NOT playing it at the actual concert so it was special for us! Tre tossed out sticks to two lucky peeps before that took off.
Then Chris led us all up to the Skybar hospitality suite where they had a buffet and Rock Band out for us. The verizon dude we met early turned out to be Simon the tour photographer who took all the pics on the GDconcert.com site. He was happy to see we made it in. Here's Kidlet grubbin down and our pics from the official website

Here's our two worthy friends we found to bring with us

While we ate we could hear Franz Ferdinand doing their sound check. They rocked pretty damn hard I gotta say. The lead singer Alex sounds eerily like Jim Morrison live.
Around 6:20 or so Chris led us downstairs to the steps to the floor. We had to wait while security pulled the stick out of their asses and made SURE we were not some terrorist cell sneaking in to hurt their lovely building and then we were sprung to run up to the stage barriers. The stage had a runway out into the middle of the floor. If you faced the stage, Kidlet and I were on the left of the runway right up at the barriers. Here's a lovely picture of us taken by our most excellent bouncer. Look at all those people behind us!

Franz came out and played about 30 mins or so. Kidlet and I were so freakin excited. The stage was like 4 feet in front of us! Once the overhead music started playing The Ramones Rock and Roll Radio we knew the time was close and sure enough Song of the Century came blaring out of the speakers and the lights went out and then with bang the lights came on and Green Day kicked off the show with 21st Century Breakdown. Let me just say, hands down this band puts on the best show I have ever seen. Love you Bono but this is a totally different vibe.

Oh. My. Fucking. Lord. They played for ever! Highlight of the show had to be Billie breaking up a fight. Watch the video, it's freakin hysterical. You can see our hands too! We were right where Billie was when he calls the guy a POS. Best line of the night, "No no no no no, Fuck YOU, Motherfucker." You gotta watch.
Billie Joe Armstrong is made of more fucking win than anyone has to right to be. Plus he's an Aquarian. Nah nah :P
Billie said we were the craziest crowd of the tour. I believe it. We were smashed at the barrier and some fuckhead kept trying to muscle in between Kidlet and I. I told him it wasn't gonna happen and he just kept diggin elbows in my ribs. So I made a nice little fist and punched the fuck out of his 'nads. Not surprisingly, he left the floor all together. Kidlet and I are covered in bruises and it was SO FUCKING WORTH IT!
During Longview he called up three peeps to sing. The second girl up was the daughter of the wonderful woman who helped us get in. Last guy up was hysterical. He told Billie he would totally go gay for him and kissed him full on the mouth. Billie informed us that the kid kicked all of our asses. He was awesome too.
Some douche over in the seats we had been in for soundcheck wouldn't stand up so Billie gave her shit and asked if she needed a foot rub.
For Jesus of Suburbia he saw a kid with a sign that said "I came all the way from Israel to play guitar with Green Day" and after giving him some shit and making him swear to God he could play, Billie pulled the guy up on stage. The kid fuckin shredded it!
Here's a clip of Holiday with the Pyro show in full effect. Have I mentioned we had a better view than any of these? Hee!!
A bit of Are We The Waiting where you can hear how loud the crowd was singing:
This is an overall great clip of highlights.

The bouncers were awesome about pouring water in our mouths which saved us cause I have never ever been so hot and sweaty in my life. We were so close that every time the flame throwers went off it cooked the sweat dry on our faces. As you can see Billie just didn't want to leave the stage.
Post show we hit the 24 hour truck stop diner The Silver Skillet - totally awesome vibe I might add, and then slept in the rental for two hours. Dropped the car off back at the rental place at 5am and then headed to the Sacramento airport where we hung out until 7 last night when we flew home. I am know having coffee and moving like a very very VERY old woman :P With that I leave you to go look at more YouTube clips. Still wearing our wristbands by the way!
Oh and GOOD NEWS! The band is coming back to the states for a second N American tour in early 2010. Since they skipped Portland on the first leg, I am crossing my fingers they hit here in Jan or Feb. Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I leave you with vid of Billie singing Good Riddance.

Thursday Thirteen - The NSFW Sing-A-Long Playlist!
So I pretty much live with my iPod on while at work. I have two clerks on the other side of my cube wall that snipe at each other constantly and I like to shut them out. And the co-worker with the horrid laugh. I am also kinda stuck in the back of the office. My cube is carved out of space in our filing section. Works well since all my paper materials are back there. But it's very isolated. And I have my phone constantly on send to voice mail. So I tend to spend a good 8 hours with my music.
Now I have some wide and varied songs on my iPod. And all that "alone space" tends to make me forget where I am. I get in the zone with my numbers ya know? And I tend to sort of sing along under my breath so to speak. No biggie, right? Remember that varied iPod list? Some of those songs ...not a good plan. So this Thursday I give you 13 songs NOT to sing out loud at work.
1. Jay's Rap - Noitch Noitch Noitch indeed. Best not be singing this outloud or you will be fired and/or sent to rehab! God Bless Kevin Smith. The man and his movies kick ass.
2. Buckycherry - Crazy Bitch. Oh yeah this is SO not office friendly. An enthusiastic ode to a crazy bitch with certain talents that mitigate said craziness.
3. Blink 182 - Blow Job. The thing about this song is it is a total earworm. The harmonies are so great and so infectious you can't help but want to sing along. Oh and...your mom.
4. Ludcacris - Get Back. What does it say that this song ends up in my head during meetings? Don't judge, you don't know me like that!
5. Megadeath - Sweating Bullets. Ok this one should be clear from the first few lines. If you sing it like Dave Mustaine it will only add to the total padded room effect of the song.
6. Rock Me Sexy Jesus - From the movie Hamlet 2. What can we say about the song that the title does not say on it's own? How bout the line "slam bam spank you ma'am" for starters. Rock me all night long, Jesus!
7. Guns N'Roses - I Used To Love Her. I love this song. Who hasn't wanted to bury their SO in the backyard at one point in time or another?
8. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness. HOLY SHIT does Dave Draiman have some mommy issues!
9. Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl. Title should make this one self explanatory. Not work appropriate. Well unless you work for a morgue. Or taxidermist.
10. Marilyn Manson - This Is The New Shit. It's Manson. Nuff said. "Babble babble bitch bitch." Are you ready for the New Shit?
11. Ol' Dirty Bastard ft Kelis - Got You Money. Only work appropriate if you are a pimp. Is it bad that I want a velvet hat with a feather?
12. Deftones - Change (In The House of Flies) This song is just creepy. Like you should be driving around in a white panel van with bad intentions. Plus the sing songy whipery voice makes you sound super bonkers.
13. Monty Python - Every Sperm Is Sacred. Did I mention I work for the Catholics? Taking the piss out of birth control around the followers of the Hat Man is tricky business!

More Gray Hair
Thanks to Harley Cat who once again did the bloody vomiting thing last night cause him to be rushed to the emergency pet hospital. He is now at the his regular vet's on IVs and resting. He has the single most sensitive stomach *evah* outside of his legal owner, my daughter. Like Owner, Like Kitty. Meanwhile the headache I left work with progressed to the point where I felt like someone had placed a white hot penny right above my left eyebrow. It's down to a regular shit headache this morning. Hopefully it levels off so I can go to the store. No Kale soup for me.

Who Watches The Watchmen?
First off I should go on record as saying that yes I have read the comic series but no, I am not all super geeked out fangirl about it. Now then, the record is clear so let's proceed!
How do you film an unfilmable film? In the case of Watchmen you do it by trying your damnest to bring every page with all 9 frames to life. And it did indeed do just that. Visually it is a compliment to artist Dave Gibbons and colorist John Higgins. Did you know they were not the same people? Trivia nugget!
It's a beautiful film. Just from a stand back and be given an sensory overload point it gets top marks. Much like The Dark Knight did before it, Watchmen does a cinematic feat of being able to have a film that filmed in dark environments while simultaneously shining a light into those very shadows.
The comics themselves have alway been more about morality than Superhero's. And yes I know virtually all Superhero's are morality plays dressed in Spandex but the Superhero factor is really second fiddle in here. You won't see them doing a lot of "Super-Heroy" things in the same way we see, Batman or Spiderman dish out. They happen, but again they are speaking more to the characters psyche than any archtype.
What I have always liked best about Watchmen and what makes it, in my opinion, unfilmable is is ambiguity. I honestly can't go into much detail without completely ruining the plot line but I can say that neither good nor evil wins the day. In fact, it is rather good at making the point for both needing to exist to make either one actually mean anything.
It also posits that we all have both good and evil in us. The worst have some good and the best have some evil. Hence that catch phrase. Which by the way is a derivation of the Latin Quis custodiet ipsos custodes or Who Watches The Watchmen from the Roman poet Juvenal. It implies just what is at the heart of the movie. So we have hero's who watch out for us. Who's watching them? What's more, would being absolutely good be better than being absolutely evil?
To the acting.

Jackie Earle Haley, welcome back! First Little Children (which is gut wrenchingly good, btw) and now this. As Rorschach he is wonderful. Hard character to play. As his name implies his character is all about Absolutism...in a movie that is all about Ambiguity. He does a fine job of being the touchstone used to throw everything else into shades of gray and making us ask, "What if what is the absolute right thing to do is the absolute wrong thing as well?"
Billy Crudup is Dr Manhattan as well as the good doctor's earlier incarnation. The giant blue penis is a might bit disconcerting if not forwarned, but it's not a cheap stunt so never fear, Movie Watcher.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is The Comedian. He's freakin nuts. He's also not a huge role as far as screen time goes. It's a testiment to him that I found myself wishing for an entire movie about the heroic anti-hero.

Matthew Goode and Patrick Wilson did stand up jobs as Ozymandias and Nite Owl II however I think they were a bit over shadowed by the above folks.
Much like Malin Akerman who was not only the least appealing to me in terms of acting but she was also completely upstaged by Carla Gugino as the first Silk Spectre who also happened to be her mother. She was the only clunk note for me acting wise. It's unfortunate that she is such a central part of the movie.

As to the plotline and the length of the movie. It's long people. It seemed like it dragged in place to me but not to my mother or daughter, neither of whom have read the comics. I think that is what makes Watchmen such a difficult transition to the screen. 2 and half hours is both too long and not long enough. Rather fitting now that I think about the central themes of the comics.
That said, I strongly recommend seeing it. It's a good film, maybe not a great one, but well worth spending the two and a half hours on. And the soundtrack is 100% bangin.
Oh and then, go read the comics ;)

Starr's Current Idée Fixe
Which for those of you not Frenchified, it is translated as an "idea that dominates one's mind especially for an extended period."
Aka: Obsession.
Here's my current. Portuguese Kale Soup. Well Azores' Kale soup. Damn that Anthony Bourdain and his foodie finding goodness. Seriously this recipe is haunting my dreams. I can taste this soup with a drizzle of olive oil on top and a good crusty bread with butter. Fortunately for me, Mom's Kale has had a great year. Tuesday after picking up the child I am going to go get some Kale and fresh Bay leaves from her garden, hit the Whole Foods market and whip me up a batch of this.
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 large yellow onion, chopped
* 6 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 pound linguica (Portuguese sausage), sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
* 1 pound chourico (Spanish sausage), sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
* 3 large potatoes, peeled & diced
* 1/4 cup chopped parsley
* 1 (14-ounce) can white cannelloni beans, drained & rinsed
* 4 quarts chicken/beef stock mix (2 of each)
* 2 bay leaves
* 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/3 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
* 1 pound kale, well washed, stemmed, and torn into bite-size pieces
* 1 loaf crusty Portuguese bread
Heat the olive oil in a large stockpot over medium heat. Add the sausage, garlic and onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring, until onions are translucent. Add the parsley and the chicken stock and bring to a boil.
Add the bay leaves, thyme, paprika and crushed red pepper. Add the potatoes and kale. Simmer until the potatoes are tender, about another 30 minutes. Remove the bay leaves.
Tell me you did not just start salivating. Go on, I double dare you. I will be dining on this Tuesday night and this will be my musical accompaniment. It works because this soup is made is Spain, Portugal and The Azores.

Oh Yeah, My Shuffle Rules
Your's truly is the Guest DJ today over at Music Savvy Mom. Head on over and check out the site. Besides lil old me there are a ton of really awesome submissions over there. Ri makes me sound like Jesus with boobs and a gnarly Vinyl collection. To say I am flattered would not be strong enough =)
Oh and Vinny? Ri has a pop out player that you should be able to listen to at work and I super pinky swear that will look into her player system so you can HEAR my musical ramblings.
Let's see, what else do we have happening today? Err...not much. I'll be writing up reviews of both Watchmen and The Hangover for next week. I'll probably babble some bullshit over the weekend since I am home. Sunday I am gonna sit down and try to get into True Blood. The guy who plays Bill just torques me. More on that next week too. Oh and I am putting the final touches on a Thursday Thirteen for next week. Exciting!

I'm Stuck Here In Between The Shadows Of My Yesterday
HEY!! See that new banner on the left hand side? The Music Savvy Mom one? Yours truly will be Guest DJing on Friday of this week. I'll post the link early Friday morning. All y'all MUST go over and check it out, mmk? The gig is we shuffle 10 songs and give a wee chat on each song. There are some seriously awesome women sending in Shuffles. Great writing from funny women and excellent music.
So now I see Cage the Elephant is blowing up all over the place, Did I call that? Hell yes I did. I so appreciate the guitar work these guys give us. Slide is just awesome. I love the lyrics. I love the lack of pretty boy vocals. I love the rootsy/bluesy feel- all without being so self knowing...I am lookin at you Jack White.
And of course Cobra Starship has a new album out. Oh that Gabe. Such a cheeky boy. The 80's are back and Gabe does them better than most retro acts and quite a few who were around then. Fun fun pop. Loves it. They kick ass live so I highly recommend catching them while they still are a cheap show.
Another new band that is breaking out big is Airborne Toxic Event. Did I call that one as well? Yes I believe I did.
Sorry getting my inner Radiohead elitist fan mindset on :P
And finally local and all around AWESOME band, The Dandy Warhols with a Beatles cover. Ahh..sleepy time music. I love the psychedelic twist on a classic.

Aung San Suu Kyi
The lovely "Generals" in Burma just sentenced her to another 5 plus year sentence. You remember those generals, right? Those jolly little khaki glad assholes who killed the Buddist monks. If we went to Iraq for democracy and to stop rape rooms, why the hell are we not in Burma?
Oh right. Big Oil.

AIDS Walk Donations!

Click the banner to be taken to my donation page. Thank you for your support!!
Those wishing to donate less than 20 dollars please send it via Paypal.
Send Donations through Paypal. The account email address is starrchile@gmail.com. Big hugs and thanks to my Mom and Barb for starting me off!
It's that time again folks. I will be keeping this post at the top of the page until after the walk ends in October. My personal goal this year is 500 bucks. Due to the economy CAP made 300k LESS in 2008 than they did in 2007. At a time when more and more people are losing health benefits this could not have happened at a worse time. The walk is a good 3 months away. Plenty of time to scrape up 5 or 10 bucks for a worthy cause! And remember, I hold a grudge ;)

Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam
Ya know I honestly think Unplugged is my favorite Nirvana album. I love this song so much. It's just so pretty. While I think it's pretty well known Kurt could shriek with the best of them, he could also sing all pretty like. As Kurt points out it is a cover of a Vaselines song.
It is gray and cool here today and boy is that a nice change of pace. At work making up time from being sick this week. It's actually hot in my office. Go figure. Playing taxi for the Kidlet later and then going to my parents tomorrow with Kidlet and her BFF K to have dinner and watch Watchmen on the Blue Ray. And then back to work.
Keeping things on a grunge level, Pearl Jam has a new album and a new single. And its...PERKY. Seriously, Kidlet heard it last night on KNRK's Top 9 At 9 and was like "WTF?!?"
Eddie is obviously getting more weed and or bootie these days. Cause it is downright jumpy and fun. Yeah you heard that, Pearl Jam just put out a shiny happy FUN song.
Speaking of the Top 9 at 9, those of you who wonder where I hear of these new bands need look no further. The list of choices of you can vote on for your favorite new song is an AWESOME springboard to hearing new music. I thank them for Cage The Elephant and Carolina Liar.
And in the bestest music news of my week, MUSE IS BACK! Two new songs are out streaming and you can buy Uprising on iTunes.
Hopefully this one will be up on iTunes soon.

John Hughes
Well talk about your mortality slap bummer. John Hughes, yes THAT John Hughes died of a heartattack Thursday at the all together too young of an age of 59.
I feel like an enormous chunk of my youth has just been bruised. I grew up with John. Much has been made of Cobain being the voice of Gen X, but honestly? I think John was our voice and certainly our mirror long before we ever heard of Kurt. It's not for nothing that Kevin Smith has a thing for Shermer Illinois.
I have talked before about The Breakfast Club and how even at 40 I *still* can tell you to this day what clothes, shoes and perfume I had on when I saw that. I can tell you I saw it at the River Road cinemas with a group of 5 of my friends and myself. I can tell you who each of us might have correlated to in that movie. I might have looked like "The Princess" and indeed I got tagged that by my friends, but one has to pull that lens back further to see that I was only the Princess because we were all a group of basket cases. Don't believe me? Read this lovely tribute to John from a teen who reached out to him only to have him reach back. Sincerely John Hughes
But of course it wasn't just The Breakfast Club, it was Weird Science, Ferris Bueller, Pretty in Pink and of course 16 Candles. Love Live Farmer Ted.
So God Speed, Mr. Hughes and thank from the bottom of my Swatch wearing heart. And trust me, we won't.

One Good Stretch Before Our Hibernation
First off, this is for Desert. See the Wee Water Bearer had not heard of the Dropkick Murphy's (see the post below) and come to find out she has not heard of Flogging Molly either. I must rectify this. In the name of Eire! A couple of my favorites
Kidlet got to meet them at a CD signing party. They are playing the same night as the Furs. Sigh. Too many good choices coming to town. The Damned is playing as well but that is 21 and over. Damn them. HAH!
Shit it is August. I have Cali and Green Day coming right up around the corner. 3 weeks or so from now. Kidlet is beyond excited. We are spending Sat and Sun with my cousins.
We are both getting kinda antsy for school. She is dying for her schedule and if I remember right we don't get it until the very end of August. Blech.
Love this song. Don't hate me because I listen to Emo :P
As I had said yesterday this and the Oasis tune were about the best thing about the movie Made of Honor.
Pondering breakfast. Pondering Halloween. Pondering a beach trip. And all before I have had any coffee! I think this year Kidlet and I will do the beach for MY birthday.
Back to breakfast. I think I want scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. Coffee is done and that is good!
I keep going back and forth on being stressed about being behind. My boss seems to think we will "catch up." Without overtime I will wait for pigs to fly out my ass before I hold my breath on "catch up" talk. Somedays I care. Somedays I don't. Today is the don't kinda day.
Hmm....maybe bacon!

Cause All Of The Stars Have Faded Away
Today's post comes with a play list. My iPod is in the zone. Watched movies this weekend. Some good and some oh so not. This Oasis song and the song I will post tomorrow were the best thing about the movie Made of Honor.
No offence to McDreamy but I don't McGet It. Never thought he was hot even back the early days. I also tried to watch Surfer Dude. It drained my IQ to the point where I am happy that I am able to remember how to use a spoon. The Other Bolyen Girl just annoyed the fuck out of me. Anne's sister Mary did NOT raise Elizabeth the 1st. Stupid bodice ripping authers annoy me.
My iPod has Severe Sybil Syndrome today. I just went from Talk Talk's It's My Life to the Dropkick Murphy's Shipping Up to Boston. Can I just say how much I love the Murphy's? If you saw the movie The Departed, you will recognize this. Irish pipes and kick ass punk. What a combo.
Whoa....The Psychedelic Furs Love My Way.
SO FUCKING EXCITED I GET TO SEE THE FURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and Happy Mondays too. Wonder if Bez will still dance around. How cool would a Shawn Ryder/Richard Butler duet be? If any of you are familiar with the band Gorillaz, Shawn is the singer on Dare.
Yay for Green Day! This is an awesome song. Deep album cut for most people.
3 weeks to the concert!
HAH....this one's for Matt and his breed mare post today.
All right, I am off to the data entry mines.
