Testes. One. Two. Three?
Yeah I am alive and yeah I am still not feeling bloglovin but it's nearly Peace Globe time so I figured I should dust off the landing pad.
Let's see, ER visit followed by surgery a whopping 20 days later. Which was a whopping 11 days ago. Pain? Still kinda whopping my ass. Not fun. The drugs were good though ;)
What else. Atlanta was awesome. Naturally ;) Ohh..going back in Feb/March for my birthday. I plan to eat at Cracker Barrel. A lot. Like a lot a lot.
And Kidlet and I are both going back in Aug/Sept for Dragon*Con. Got rooms at the Hyatt (much dramz) and my costume idea is a go AND I found a seamstress to do it. Who works about a block from my house. Kidlet will be Columbia. Of course =)
Now to see if hitting publish still does anything on this bitch ;)

Is This Thing Live?
Hi Peeps. See? I am still around. Just very busy and very unblogivated. That's a word, yo. Work is caught up - for the moment - and we are moved into our new office. Hello shite commute! But I can do this for a couple years and then as my reward I get to get the FUCK out of this shit hole state with it's hipster douche bag population. Thank the Lord.
Miss Kidlet and I just returned for Atlanta and we had a blast. Confirmed once and for all that that is where my home is. And I intended to go back for my birthday and treat myself to Bourbon tour. As for the blogging, I will start it up again when the muse moves me :P

So "HI!!" all and I shall return.

People Get Ready - Peace Globes 2010
Welcome to the 7th launch of BlogBlast For Peace aka Dona Nobis Pacem in the blogosphere. It's inception began in 2006 with one single post and a cry for peace in our world.
A small group of bloggers answered that challenge and it began to spread across the internet in ways that humble me still. It reaches across political lines and religious creeds, abides in corners of unrest and places of hope, gives voice to individual beliefs and promotes tolerance for diversity. It celebrates the genius in each one of us, found in sparkling conversations of passionate pleas for change in the earth. It is that hope for change that motivates us.
It was the Internet's first ever online movement of its kind to invite bloggers to post the same message on the same day. From blog to blog it has moved and continues to grow. We have been amazed to see the power and passion shown each year displayed on pages across the world. We visit each other with our prayers and scribbles, prose and poetry, art and angst, heart and hilarity - and we are moved by it. From one post to thousands of others in fifty countries and almost every state in the United States, something rare and wonderful happens on BlogBlast For Peace day.
I am privileged to witness it.
I invite you to experience it.
It's time.
Join us!

Facebook Meme ala Mimi
Look at Mimi giving me a ready made post. She's so HANDY like that!
. Facebook has now surpassed Google in number of users and traffic.
How much time do you spend on Facebook? If not FB, do you use Twitter? - On FB all the time. The conservative highjinks this week surrounding the health care act have been made of win ;)
2. What is Farmville? I do not understand why people are asking me for margarine. Game. Where if you are really lucky you can "calm a bull." Brown chicken. Brown cow.
3. Do you war in the Mafia Wars? I do not understand why people are asking me for cows. - Yawn. I played a MMORPG. This faux shit is boring. I like my bitches to shriek when I kill em.
4. What is Cafe World? I do not understand why people are asking me for bullets! - Taste my pie!
5. Are you being bombarded with these "See Who Has Been Looking At your Profile - See Who Your Peeps Are?" application request lately? I don't understand why people are asking me for my photograph and that of my dogs. - Nope cause they are all fake ;)
6. Which FB or Twitter applications, tags or gifts irritate you the most and why? - Twitter just sucks.
7. Every morning I am faced with the question at the top of my Facebook profile page, "What's On Your Mind?" Now Mr. Online Mailman wants to know the same thing. Does the whole world need to know what I'm thinking at every moment? I can't write that in a public place ya know. But if you had to answer that question honestly at 9:00 am each morning, what would you say? - Mine usually goes like this. "More coffee."
8. Do you know how you became friends and followers with everyone in your list on Facebook and Twitter? - Facebook? Yeah.
9. Have you ever been deceived online by someone you thought was someone else? How did you know? - Yeah once this guy said he was blonde and tall and shit. Oh wait...I knew he was full of shit. The Dewey of Death rides again!
10. Do you enjoy chatting via Yahoo Messenger or AOL the old-fashioned way? If so, who do you chat with most online? - I used to Yahoo messenger a LOT. LDR ya know.
11. Have you ever been contacted on Facebook or via email under false pretenses, for dubious purposes, or by meddling nosy people in general? - Nope. Something about me just says "Fuck off."
12. Think about it. We are all flitting around making bird noises on the internet. What would the PETA people say?! Can you think of a more suitable animal mascot for Twitter? What kind of sound would we make? - I don't tweet.
13. What kind of new cool innovative application would you like to see on Facebook or Twitter? What would you call it? - IQ inhancer. I am not holding my breath.
14. Have you ever had to block someone from Facebook or Twitter? - I have thought about it.
15. Do you allow your real life friends to communicate with you there or do you prefer to be incognito to the universe at large? - Most people on FB know me IRL.
16. Do you belong to any CAUSES on Facebook or Twitter? If so, what makes you passionate about them and why did you join? - ONE, RED, and pretty much the ones that say I am not a self serving selfish cocksucker.
17. Do you know what a Twibe is? - Nope.
18. Have you ever rage twitted? Tell me! - Nope.
19. I find that more and more people are reading my blogs on Facebook and commenting there. Do you share your blog posts on Facebook? Do you find that it helps or hinders your blog traffic? - Yup and no clue. I don't follow my traffic.
20. Wanna be my friend on FB? I have nearly 800 now. At least I'd recognize you!
Don't you be foolin' me now. There's always the dreaded dungeon.
I wonder if there's an app for that. Hmmmm...... I am!

September Girls
RIP Alex
September gurls do so much
I was your butch and you were touched
I loved you well never mind
I've been crying all the time
December boys got it bad.
December boys got it bad.
September gurls I don't know why
how can I deny what's inside
even thought I keep away
maybe we'll love all our days.
december boys got it bad
december boys got it bad
When I get to bed
late at night
that's the time
she makes things right
ooh when she makes luv to me
September gurls do so much
I was your butch and you were touched
I loved you well never mind
I've been crying all the time
December boys got it bad.

Hike Up Your Skirt A Little More And Show The World To Me
Howdy party people. I do live. I live to work lately it seems. Doing extra hours and dealing with the auction this month are making me tired! And lazy!
Shut up, I know I am always lazy. But my lovely readers need to buy into my delusions, mmk?
Let's see, news round up shall we? Spring showed up and left. Fuck Oregon.
OH! I got our Muse tickets finally! SO excited about that. We are seeing Cobra Starship as well but they be cheap :P Awesome but cheap. And at the Roseland this time around. Muse is playing with the big boys and are at the Rosegarden. We actually got good seats this late in the game. Of course nothing will ever top the Uber Awesome Green Day Concert Extravaganza. Unless I get to meet U2. Or Green Day.
Like how this post is about Muse and yet I used a DMB lyric? Wanna know why? Cause I am eclectic like that. Hell yah :p
Blogfest is shaping up and I should be buying the plane tickets and booking the hotel next week. I have a fucking flowchart of points and miles and more points to get the plane tickets purchased. It's like brain surgery. Pray for me. At least the hotel is just book it and be done with it.
Pondering tattoo time in Atlanta this summer. Feeling the need. Tarot cards. Have the peony tattoo that reminds me of my Grams. Need the three for me, the mother and the kidlet.
Let's see what else. Auction is less than 4 weeks away and I have to go buy a Wine tour hotel package next weekend. Oh and tonight the Kidlet and I are going to Outback for dinner. Been saving up for that too =)
With that I am out of here with a song. Must see DMB at some point in my life.

Uhh....Hi?
I am not going to make excuses, I have fucking loved my bloggy break :P Those who know me know I am a slacker at heart. It was good to say "fuck it!" and let shit ride for the last couple months. That said, HI! *waves!!*
Vinny is gonna take credit for this I just know it since I just got a comment from him ordering me back :P
So what's up with me? Well it's Charity Auction time. It's our 20th so we are of course doing the Roaring's. I put together a cd of early Louis Armstrong and some Scott Joplin ragtime.
And we have the Cascade AIDS Project art auction shortly after the work one. And then U2 coming up in June and ...YAY!...Blogfest in the ATL in July.
In addition to that I am thinking the kid and I need to hit the beach for an overnight on our next weekend together. I think a nice drive to the beach would be a good thing and then a two night stay at the Overlook would be awesome. I LOVE that spa. 2 nights would be a nice little break and the Kidlet could bring her la foo camera. April me thinks.
Currently I am looking at hotels in the ATL and points and and miles and the like. I should be booking both of them next week sometime. We are gonna have fun, people.
Think I might have to get a tat ;)

Slacker Ass Facebook Repost!
Cause I am lazy. Look it's a post!
The Rules : Once you have been tagged, you are supposed to write down the top 25 songs you cannot live without. The ones you can listen to over and over and never get tired of. They don't have to be in any particular order. These are the songs that make you laugh, cry, think of an old friend, whatever the reason. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you.
I don't tag. I'm a slacker. If you wanna play, play on ;0 That said this list changes daily. Hell sometime hourly. And while I could try to keep it to one song per artist, I have only had about half a cup of coffee and that ain't enough. So this is pretty loose and represents the first 25 songs I could really think of off the top of my head.
The first three? Yeah well bite me and blow the rules, I need the entire catalogue for these bands. It's just how I roll :P
U2
Green Day
Nirvana
Now then -songs :P
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
Lucky Man - The Verve
Malibu - Hole
Boy on the Radio - Hole
Red Barchetta - Rush
Remedy - The Black Crowes
Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Porcelain - Moby
Strange Fruit - Billie Holiday
There She Goes - The Las
Voodoo Child - Hendrix
Castles Made of Sand - Hendrix
Heros - David Bowie
Pressure Drop - Specials
Summertime - Ella Fitzgerald
Scarlett Begonias - The Dead
Brokedown Palace - The Dead - getting all snooty here and specifiying the live version from Dead Set
Into the Mystic/Tupelo Honey- Van Morrisson. Tied. Pick one for me :P
Temple of Love ft Ofra Hazra - Sisters of Mercy
How Soon Is Now? - The Smiths
London Calling- The Clash
Spanish Bombs - The Clash
Tangled Up In Blue - Dylan
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Never Gonna Stop - Rob Zombie - Cause ya gotta have one good pole dancing song :P

Context And The Stupid Fucking Public- The John Mayer Debate
This started out as a rant on a friend's Facebook page and then I said fuck it, blog it. The whole John Mayer broohaahah has reached EPIC fucking stupidity when he is lumped together with a woman beater like Chris Brown, a deadbeat dad like Gosslin and Tiger HO HO HO I GOT WOODS.Putting Mayer in that category is really really insulting to anyone who ever has been abused. Period. It's just not funny. *I* don't find it funny.
To everyone getting your panties in a wad, have you read the entire Playboy interview with him? Or are you just going off of your fucking brain trusts Twitter on it? If you are a woman and are all offended by his woman hating, gosh she was so hot I couldn't stop banging her comments, I gotta ask. No one ever tell you that you were good in bed? With that fucked up repressed attitude I am not surprised. And guys? Jealous much? Cause come the fuck on, if you were him you'd be riding that pussy wagon too.
He had nothing but wonderful things to say about Aniston, last I checked being called sexual napalm is a compliment and he quite rightly pointed out that if he DID have a "hood pass" he COULD call it a nigger pass. He was pointing out the inherent contradiction in that term. And oh yes, I used that word. Because sometimes, just fucking sometime, the context in which it is used is to argue an intellectual point and NOT to be used as fucking racial slur. ARE WE SO FUCKING STUPID WE DON'T GET THE DIFFERENCE?! Because people have STOPPED looking at context and now only believe the sound bites they have been fed by the media. And some wonder just why our society is going to shit. Because most people are fucking stupid. FUCKING STUPID.
As for the David Duke cock comment? While it probably was not the smartest thing to say I am also fairly sure that pretty much everyone has one type and/or race that just does not do it for them as a sexual turn on. The sad fact is that in PLAYBOY freakin magazine - again back to context here, it's FUCKING PLAYBOY - someones sexual preference gets blown out of proportion. Guess I got a David Duke twat cause sorry my Hispanical Friends but the Latin Lover does nothing for me. Alert the fucking media. I am obviously a racist.
I am sure this has probably pissed some long time readers off, and if that is the case, well, too fucking bad. We can agree to disagree and quite frankly if you are really, truly, deeply as morally offended by Mayer's interview as you are by Chris Brown bashing the shit out of a woman, well frankly I don't fucking care if I offended you. If you think he is racist for the use of the word nigger (oh shiz I used it again!!) when we have idiot people hanging our Black President in effigy, well then go suck a bag of dicks.
Oh and to provide a little CONTEXT here is the interview.

Well How Do You Do? A Kiss On The Cheek
Colds are the suck. This one is not even a really good cold. By that I mean that it lacks the balls to really be a slay me kind of cold. It's more of a pain in the ass cold. Back at work today. Whoo hoo. Gonna get my scrambled eggs on in a few. Please God, let me not get 50 thousand stupid agent questions.
So our move is looking to be end of July/first of August. Oh damn I will be out of town for that :P Boss does not know this yet. She will soon though, I gotta buy those plane tickets next month. Three cheers for rewards miles!
Let's see what of interests is coming up. Uhhh.....nothing. And can I just say HOT DAMN to that? Been a drama filled fall/winter what with the cats and Kidlet deciding to test out inpatient hospitalization amenities. I think I might stick the Kid in the car next weekend with her La Foo camera and go for a drive to the beach.
Musically the Kid and I are hoping to hit Muse in April. We of course have U2 in June. And can I just say g'damn is there a SHIT ton of new music out that I adore? First and foremost Broken Bells. Or Gnarly Shin as Kidlet calls it. And then there is this one that I kept getting the last 20 seconds or so of on the radio. It was making me nucking futs :P Until someone kindly got me the entire song. Sanity is mine!
White Rabbits - Percussion Gun. LOVE THE DRUMS!

Genius Is As Genius Does
Genius? Sometimes. There are times I look at the playlists created using the Genius function on Cherry Darling and wonder what the help they are thinking in iPod land. And then there are lists like this one that totally capture my mood based on the original song I use to build it. Cherry queued up The Pogues Love You Till Then End, a song I adore even if it ain't Shane singing. So on a whim I hit Genius to see what list it would make me. Color me impressed. Two thumbs up!

Happy Birthday To Me
So like woot and shit, it's my birthday :P
I got a big day of work and a vet visit. And hopefully a beer on my couch when I get home. We did my birthday dinner last week. Mom made friend chicken, mash potatoes, gravy, salad and the most amazing Kale and Chard sauteed with bacon and shallots. I would have happily swam in an olympic sized pool of that. Followed up by cherry pie. I ate enough to keep me going for two days. Literally. Mom also gave me my grandfathers baptismal cross which made me go look for one of our more colorful relatives online. Found a great picture which I will be using for Wordless this week and another of my grandmother and several of her sisters as well. Pretty cool.
And with that, I am off to finish watching Red Dawn. Birthday shmirthday :P

Livin Bloggin The Hell No We Got No Kanye Edition Of The Grammys
Live Bloggin..Grammy Style!!
Gaga and Captain Fantastic was fucking genius. That was meant to happen.
Ok Colbert is funny. Keep Colbert.
And I have a feeling if Beyowolf is up for an award she is gonna get it. Keep Kanye Sane, y'all. It's shame cause frankly that song is not all that and a bag of chips. I'd have rather seen Gaga or Taylor Swift get it. Yeah, I said Taylor Swift. I like her and I love that song. Sue me :P
And we have the whole reason I am watching! I loves Green Day and I am just pleased as can be the show is going to Broadway. Cause having the balls to turn your album into a Broadway musical? THAT'S Punk. Fuck the naysayers. Fuck em right in the goat ass.
Oh COME ON...this is a no brainer. What song should The Jovi do? Livin' On A Prayer. DUH.
Go Taylor! YAY!
Oh goodie. It's Beyonce. Bringing us what I am sure will be another wonderful display of her "LOOK! I have a vagina!" dance moves. Oh I stand corrected....the classic crotch grab to demonstrate the imaginary package. Got ya. Homegirl has an impressive weave though. That shit stays put. I prefer Alanis. Cause I don't buy Beyonce going down on anyone in a theater. Nuh uh.
Um...Can we HAVE a Leonard Cohen song at least? Sheesh.
Pink has come a long way.
Bono!
I know they won't win but I sure wish it would be MGMT or The Ting Tings. Sigh. K, moving on.
Ahh, The Disney Skank Whore. Miley Whorus. Shut up, future porn star.
Smartest move The Peas ever made was Fergie. I may not like all their music but that girl can sing. Actually that was pretty entertaining.
Say NO to JoBros!
Meh. Lady Anticlimactic or whatever the hell they are called. Sounds like Seals and Croft with a twang. Dudes hair is hella Miami Vice.
Colbert cracks me up =)
You know if Norah and Ringo collab'd I bet it would be pretty damn good.
For the record, Mack the Knife is the shiz.
Lord no Beyo. Or Peas. KoL or Gaga or Taylor would be fine. YAY! KoL!! They were my first choice and I love them boys.
LOL, RDJ takin the piss out of himself. Loves him to. And yes RDJ Thank God you are here. I like Jamie Foxx too. Ahh...THE BEST PART of November Rain. The Slash solo.
LOL I'd like to see a Katy Perry and Alice Cooper collab as well.
I love that AC/DC are nom'd. But I wants Green Day to win it. Yeah I said it, over U2. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GD for teh win!
I want to have shots with Billie Joe and KoL too!
Leon Russell is the shiz. Wish they had let him do Delta Lady. The rest of it? Eh.
Seacrest In! Taylor On! That girl has the most amazing hair. If I could have Taylor Swift's hair I might be okay with being blonde. Oh cool, Stevie Nicks. I like this version of You Belong with Me. Of course I just like the song in general. She has talent for sure.
And the MJ tribute.
Wow..just checked the Alternative album award on line and Phoenix won it! Excellent!
Usher needs to deal with his dramz and get back to music. Jennifer Hudson has lost a lot of weight post pregnancy. She looks great. Smokey is still the man. What a voice. I gotta say it is nice that they actually got 5 people with REAL voices and not studio gimmicks. Cause they do all have that in common. Celine, Usher, Carrie, Smokey and Jennifer did a nice job on that. Song was not bad either. Vocally Michael sure still had it. Oh my the kids. What a poised little boy. Made a JoBro cry.
Sheryl Crow looks lovely as usual.
It's Jovi Time. Man I wish we could go to Seattle and see them. That's right, I am a Bon Jovi fan. John looks better now that he did in the 80's. Now then, it better be Prayer that won the online vote. Damn skippy, people!
Mos Def and Placido. Wow :P
ON A BOAT MOTHERFUCKERS! But no that shiteous song with that hot tranny mess Rihanna won. Blech. Move along. LOL...they didn't bring Kanye ;)
Wyclef doing the Haiti shout outs. Snap on the record companies comment =) Mary J Blige. Will she be pitchy?! Film at 11. Wow, nice version of Bridge Over Troubled Water by Mary and Bocelli. Mary is NOT pitchy this even, she is bringin it. I'd buy this.
Adam Sandler is win. Love his movies. Love his vulgarities. Love the Sandler.
Ahh Dave Matthews Band. They are playing in Atlanta when I will be there for Blogfest. I wanna see them. Badly.
Really? I gotta say I am really fucking tired of Beyonce. Prefer her over Rihanna though.
Marshall Mathers coming up!
LOVED Jeff Beck and Imelda May. LOVED IT. Go look her up. Irish Rockabilly Girl. I gotta look into her stuff. One of my favorite moments of the night.
Wow Kanye is on the song and yet, he ain't there. M! And Travis Barker.
That Taylor Swift is adorable. If it couldn't be Gaga or DMB I am glad she got it.
