So last night was the conclusion of Rockstar Supernova. Lukas. Bleh. Seriously does the world need another band fronted by a guy screeching like his nuts are in a vice? Who in their right mind could consider him a more talented singer than Dilana? My personal opinion is she suffered from Boobage Encumberment. As in..she had boobs. And a vagina. Oh no. Not the vajayjay!
Cynical, I know. However we are now 2 and 0 for guys on Rockstar. With INXS I could see going with a guy because they were an established band who's lead singer was a guy. The fact that they picked an Elvis impersonator who became a Hutch impersonator is a whole nother issue. I like their song Dirty Vegas and the latest Afterglow. I hate myself for it but what can ya do. Sorry Michael =(
With this band, they didn't have that past history. Unless we are looking at the lead singers of the bands the guys are known for. And I don't think Lukas wants that cause frankly he is so far from the league of James Hetfield or Axl Rose. Hell even Vince Neil should have him running scared.
So I am sticking to my prior snarky comment. If it has a tit, it will not fit.
Moving on to Project Runway. I have to admit, Laura had that one hands down. It was the only dress I would have worn. Love ya Jeffrey but that thing looked like something pulled out of Madonna's garbage disposal circa 1984. Unlike this shirt which I absofuckinglutely adore.
Don't get me started on the Tim Gunn bobblehead they also have for sale. I loves it. I loves all bobbleheads. I have a Shakespeare and Betty Boop. I am easily amused.
Michael's was nice too. Very clean and sophisticated. And Kors is right, he does a head to toe look better than anyone there.
Unlike the two returning "special guest" designers. I am with Kayne here. Cockroaches. Did we really need to have the nut job and the dork back? Did anyone really miss Angela's little flower appellation?
So we get another bland thing ala Vincent with that cheesy wrapper. And Angela. What was that thing?! That looked like something out of Ziggy Stardust's garbage disposal. Where the Zigster put it cause he knows crap when he sees it. And I am sick to death of Uli and her friggin 70's inspired, "let's all go on macrobiotic diets and smoke a lot of pot!" tropical caftan things. Enough already. I'd rather look at Kayne's trashy pageant drag queen apparel
The auction is up and running. Quick! Act now, and the Zigster outfit could be yours!!
And now, off to subway for chow.

This Ain't No Party
So, wow. Rockstar last night was interesting. Now I am well aware of the power of fancy footwork editing, but wow. Just wow. Dilana was most def not coming off well there. I think Lucas is a screechy little hoot monkey poseur with bad hair and a conflicted fashion sense, myself. I can say that cause I ain't here to win a popularity contest. And kiddo just loathes him. But Dilana's smartassed "mama dove" comments were gag inducing. The only thing I think she did nail about him was that they are both alike. Ego, party of two, your table is ready.
I watched Project Runway too, and found that to be wowish as well. It was my night to have the peeps I like act badly.
I like Jeffrey. How could I not like Punk Rock Boy? I could see his point about Angela's mom. And frankly if Angela had instructed her mom to fuxor Jeffrey in this challenge, it would not shock me in the least. I think Angela is a whining little bitch. I would happily pay per view Angela choking on one of those stupid flowerette crap things she tacks on everything. But Jeffy just opened mouth and inserted foot in such a huge way. I was nearly certain he'd get the boot for that. Fortunately it was Robert who went. Or unfortunately. Angela should have gone instead of Robert. He may have been a bit yawn inducing but Angela makes clothes for circa 1985 hookers.
And I just don't get Uli. I keep waiting for a macrame bra. /shudder
JAVA!
I depart now.

I Feel, Yeah Yeah, Well I Feel That Burning Flame
108 degrees for today's high. That qualifies as a heatwave in Oregon. Hell anywhere. Cept maybe hell :p
108 degrees!!! WTF is up with that? And el zippo humidity. I hate dry heat. Everyone bitches about the south and the humidity, but I loathe dry heat. My sinuses hurt and my eyes feel like sandpaper. Give me humidity any damn day.
Been a long week. Multiple ongoing issues with my POS program I use at work. 10 hour days, and now heat! Goody!
I am seriously cranky. Gotta work tomorrow but I think kiddobean and I are going to go see Clerks II after I finish up at the office. She be at her dads tonight. Bet he is freakin out about her hair. She went with mom to Magnum Opus this week and got all her hair cut off to a chin length layered bob. That and highlights. Her hair is so curly! I would have killed for those curls at her age. I had to wait until after I had her before my hair went curly. My hair was board straight as a kid.
And the classic part of it is, she went to lunch with my mom afterwards and the waiter served her a pony shot sample of beer! She was laughing her ass off over that one. She's eleven! Of course, at my 12th bday dinner, our waiter did ask for my number. Dad almost knocked him on his ass. Her dad ain't gonna like it much more than mine did.
I am gonna head home and watch my Firefly DVD's. Friday's pretty much bite TV wise. I did catch Dead Like Me on SciFi this week and I loved it. Promptly added that to the netflix list. George cracks me up. I missed Eureka though, kiddobean is addicted to Project Runway. Not that I minded. I am sure it will repeat and I love PR myself. But they axed Malan! I loved Malan. He was flamboyant and funny and made me want to rent Cabaret.
Note to self...Cabaret Netflix!
Sunday I am taking a day off and Kidlet and I are meeting H for Dim Sum and then we are gonna go troll Powells books. AC and iced coffee and books. Works for me.
