The Roof, The Roof, The Roof Is On Fire

First off, you really must see Superbad. Well providing you do not have a stick lodged in your ass and won't freak out over blow job jokes. This movie was so funny, I very nearly needed Depends. We went to the 7:45 show and Kidlet demanded that we get there early which was a good things since the line to get into it started at 6:45. We were second in line behind a group of teenager metrosexual walking erections. Kinda perfect for the movie, actually. Well except the characters are in no way metrosexual. Except McLovin and his vest.

The movie 100% lived up to the Internet and media hype. And to think they wrote this script when they were 13?!! This is a classic in the American Pie/Porky's tradition but personally I thought it kicked the ass of both of those.

I have to go to the mall again. Skinny beyotch Kidlet (that is a love name...God help me if Kyra's helpful friend were to presume to give me shit about my parenting skillz :P) bought size 6's when we went last weekend. Problem being 6's fit when they are brand new/right out of the dryer. 1 hour later and she is doing the old fart hitching up her pants routine and looks incredibly Short Bus. So those have got to go. Size 4 here we come.

Then it is Fred Meyer time for school supplies and groceries. I am pondering cooking today. Greek dish called Stifado. Pretty much a meat and onion stew that we toss green beans in with. Either that or the classic greek chicken dish Kapama. That is chicken marinaded in lemon and cinnamon and then braised and served with spaghetti with brown butter and greek cheese. Damn...now I am hungry!

I See A Bad Moon A Rising

Kidlet and I saw Skinwalkers aka Werewolves last night. Not so much Skinwalkers from the Native American point of view. More like, "Hey they are similar in nature but Skinwalker sounds fresher than Werewolf! Let's use it!"

It was pretty cheesetastic. But heck it was bargain hour and Kidlet and I LOVE bad horror so we had a good time. It was actually so cheesy in spots that Kidlet and I burst out laughing in the theater. Big huge gun battle (with a cool gun toting granny who stole the show) in which NONE of these fucking wolfs could hit the broad side of a barn. Oh and the scene where the badasses roll into town on their Harley's....in slow mo...we bust out laughing. Only other people in the theater were two bimbo teens who looked totally lost and a scary older fat guy. I told Kidlet he was gonna head to 7-11 after the movie to get Nacho's and a Code Red before heading home to play Worlds of Warcraft and then jack off to Sailor Moon Porn. She shot coke out her nose. It was teh win.

We had to rename all the bad guys. Bob Gnarly was the evil rasta wolf dude, and the chick in wolf form kinda looked like Marilyn Manson, Cher and the ugly kid in Hanson. So she became Cherilyn Hanson. The chief bad guy was Woofio as he was the werewolf equivalent of Fabio. From a MST3000 point of view, it was not bad.

Today I have to go to...dun dun duuunnnnn....the mall. Pray for me people. I hate humanity on a good day and the mall brings out ALL my misanthropic tendencies. But I need to put clothing on Kidlet and I need a decent pair of walking shoes as I have been a good girl and gone back to the treadmill. 30 minutes a day but I get horrible shin splints with the wrong shoes. Stretching before hand does not help. I have a pair of dansko sandals that are the only shoes that don't leave me in pain. Odd I know.
